Beyond Mandela Month: EnFloTech Turning Community Investment into Lasting Impact

Mandela Month reminds us that meaningful change begins when we give our time, resources and compassion to others. At EnFloTech, that purpose extends far beyond July. We are passionate about empowering the communities surrounding the power stations where we work and creating opportunities that will continue to make a difference for generations.

Through its ongoing Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and partnership with Eskom, EnFloTech has supported four handovers linked to Duvha, Kusile and Medupi Power Stations. Each initiative addresses a specific community need—from strengthening healthcare services and providing essential educational resources to expanding access to digital learning—while creating opportunities for long-term progress.

Together, these projects demonstrate EnFloTech’s innovative approach to social investment: responding to immediate needs while building stronger foundations for the future.

Creating Healthier Communities and Brighter Futures

16 July 2026 – Healthcare facilities improved at Lynville Clinic, Witbank

At Lynville Clinic, the improvements were designed to strengthen day-to-day operations and create a more supportive environment for staff and patients. By investing in local healthcare infrastructure, EnFloTech and Eskom helped reinforce an essential service on which the surrounding community depends.

17 August 2026 – School shoes and classroom chairs donated to Fundisisa Combined School, Delmas

The spirit of Mandela Month continued at Fundisisa Combined School, where EnFloTech, in partnership with Eskom’s Kusile Power Station, provided practical resources that directly address learners’ everyday needs.

Reliable school footwear gives learners greater comfort and confidence, while suitable classroom seating creates a more focused learning environment. These contributions show how thoughtful, practical action can remove everyday barriers and help learners participate more fully in their education.

02 September 2026 – Fully functional computer laboratory handed over to Lerekhureng Combined School, Lephalale

On 2 and 3 September, the programme progressed from providing essential resources to enabling long-term digital empowerment. EnFloTech and Eskom’s Medupi Power Station officially handed over fully functional computer laboratories to Lerekhureng Combined School and Mazwe Secondary School in Lephalale.

For EnFloTech, supporting digital education is essential to preparing today’s learners to become tomorrow’s leaders. As technology and artificial intelligence reshape how people learn, work and connect, access to digital tools gives young people the opportunity to build the confidence and skills they need to adapt, advance and thrive.

The General Manager of Medupi Power Station attended both handovers because she strongly believes in the far-reaching and lasting impact of education. Addressing the learners, she encouraged them to believe that the sky is the limit, regardless of where they come from. She also expressed her appreciation for the initiative and recognised EnFloTech as a critical partner that contributes not only to the sustainability of energy generation but also to advancing Eskom’s values. Through its longstanding partnership with Eskom, EnFloTech has consistently demonstrated a shared commitment to empowering communities and creating opportunities for future generations.

03 September 2026 – Fully functional computer laboratory handed over to Mazwe Secondary School, Lephalale

These initiatives are more than once-off handovers—they are investments in healthier communities, better learning environments and digitally equipped future leaders. They reflect EnFloTech’s passion for empowering communities and applying innovation where it matters most, creating opportunities for people to adapt, advance and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
